Cílem výkladu je zejména nalezení efektivního způsobu hledání v databázi na jehož konci by byl minimální počet záznamů, maximálně odpovídajících hledané problematice. Naleznete zde i popis dalších možností PubMedu; přístup k plným textům článků (fulltextům), zdrojům využívaným v rámci EBM (Evidence Based Medicine - medicína založená na faktech), speciální filtry pro klinické pracovníky atd.
