The lighthouse has always had a mysterious attraction for people, more so in the past few decades. Since then, more than 200 lighthouses and fog bells have helped ships find their way to harbors or navigate along the coast of Norway.
It explains the etymology, setting, and cultural history of these lighthouses, and also provides a brief history for each.
