Knížka, ve které se mísí skutečné a fiktivní postavy a v níž se střídají románové postupy a vysloveně reportážní popis událostí, výstižně zachycuje situaci a nálady obyvatel New Yorku po 11. září - na jedné straně hluboké zoufalství, na druhé obrovské odhodlání jít a žít dál. Publikace na pomezí beletrie a literatury faktu obsahuje množství zajímavých informací o New Yorku, jeho historii, architektuře a jeho obyvatelích.
