Christmas is one of the most special times of the year for the young narrator and her brother--and it's even more special when they spend it with Nana and Grandpa! They spend time making a snowman, and then when they get too cold, it's time to go inside and sit by the fireplace drinking hot chocolate. The children help to shovel the snow on the sidewalk in front of Nana and Grandpa's house, where they admire the colorful Christmas lights on the house and the icicles on the roof's edges.
The children help Nana make special Christmas cookies, and they leave out a few for Santa with a glass of milk. Grandpa shows the children his train that runs around the Christmas tree, and then everyone sits down to enjoy a delicious Christmas feast. And before they go to bed so that Santa can
