Here's a new way for tourists, residents, fiber artists, and craft enthusiasts to experience a unique travelogue celebrating our nation's capital visually with art quilts. 103 fiber artists used their talent and creativity to depict special sights, sites, and events in the Washington, DC, area, from the iconic to the lesser known: the White House and Senate, the Smithsonian museums, the neighborhood of Georgetown, and even an oasis of lotus flowers on the Anacostia River. The sites include top destinations near DC, such as Manassas Battlefield Park and Mount Vernon. Each art quilt is accompanied by interesting facts about the site.
