Scandinavian Design Beyond
During the 1950s, 'Scandinavian Design' swept the globe to become a "must-have" in homes around the world. "Scandinavian Design Beyond the Myth" presents the fascinating story of how this graphic design campaign came to have such astonishing, and long-lasting effect on worldwide design ideals and aesthetics. The launching of this concept was a pan-Nordic campaign that included a number of big exhibitions that toured all over the world - the result of which was a worldwide love and appreciation of Scandinavian design that has never faded.
This new paperback edition also includes a section on the icons of 'Scandinavian Design', alongside the latest interpretations of the concept from the cream of today's young Nordic designers.
