The exhibition catalogue features 450 carefully selected ukiyo-e prints from the 17th to 19th centuries, offering superb coverage of the world's ukiyo-e masterpieces. This exhibition has great significance because, for the first time ever, masterpieces from the Ōta Memorial Museum of Art, Japan, the Ukiyo-e Museum, and the Hiraki Ukiyo-e Foundation, museums that are reputed to be the three great collections of ukiyo-e in Japan both in quality and volume, were showcased together.
