Urban Spaces Environments
This collection of outstanding projects for public spaces is an excellent overview of current trends in urban planning; new forms of social existence have led to an increased interest in the definition of urban space. This volume has brought together twenty five examples of the best in urban design, with the indelible stamp of the most internationally known professionals. Our cities have already crossed the dividing line between space to inhabit and habitable space and, at present, it is difficult to conceive of a good urban development plan without an equally good plan of the public space involved.
This book, the fruit of a complete case study, will undoubtedly be of the greatest value to all architects, urban planners and students seeking an introduction to the latest tendencies in the field of public space design. Each of them is thoroughly documented and illustrated with full color glossy photographs and drawings, to capture the full scale of the project’s complexities, technical assets and aesthetic innovations.
