Over three decades ago, PHTLS: Prehospital Trauma Life Support transformed the assessment and management of trauma patients in the field. The ninth edition of this trusted and reliable resource continues the PHTLS mission to promote excellence in trauma patient management by all providers involved in the delivery of prehospital care through global education.This legendary program was first developed by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) in the early 1980s in cooperation with the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma (ACS-COT).
